Also, Mantak’s long time drummer since the Eye of Deviant days, Ir’Onez had to quit Mantak, he has made his choice to totally concentrate on his main band Inside.
Naz immediately replaced both of these demonic comrades with Kelvin Helvete on bass guitar and Shaun Yazeed on drums position. Kevin Helvete has been working with Mantak since the year 2006 when Lee has started to slow down in Mantak’s helltivities!
666 MCD
A young local (East Malaysia) underground metal label Evil Dead Production offered Mantak a MCD deal. This MCD is entitled “666”, it consists of 4 songs, which is 2 new fucking songs plus 2 cover songs, Black Sabbath’s “Electric Funeral” and Tankard’s “Alcohol”! Mantak took only 1 fucking week to finish the recording for this MCD. Evil Dead Production has unleashed this MCD on 1st March 2009!
666 introduces Mantak’s new demons, which is Kevin Helvete replacing long time bass violator Lee and Shaun Yazeed replacing long time drummer Ir’Onez. 666 will also be released as an EP in 7” vinyl format by an unholy allegiance of Malaysia’s first extreme metal vinyl label Gempita and Morbid Invasion Records!
Diabolical Psycholust
The recording process of their fourth full length album which will be entitled Diabolical Psycholust is finally done after taking almost 5 months of working! The reason which makes the recording complete in such a long time is not because of Mantak spending more time in the mixing process because for this time Mantak didn’t compose all the songs in the album beforehand. This time Mantak composed one track at a time and recorded it intensely and the same goes to the other tracks in this album, Mantak didn’t practice in a rehearsal room like before. These tracks are recorded and later added with a few touches during the final recording stage. Mantak will only rehearse these tracks for live desecration purpose! This is by far the most economic way for Mantak, saving both time and money since the recording for this release is not fully funded by a label.
Diabolical Psycholust was supposed to be released under Drakkar Productions, because of some unforeseen circumstances Mantak had not choice but to abort their deal with Drakkar Productions and move to US underground XXXtreme metal label Old Cemetery Records, OCR will be responsible in releasing and promoting this new CD. Diabolical Psycholust will also be spawned in 2 different versions! The 12” LP version will be unleashed by France’s Chalice of Blood Angel Records (limited to fucking 300 copies) and the cassette tape version will be released by Evil Dead Production (limited to fucking 100 copies).
Diabolical Psycholust proudly feature a few dedicated and important Psychotics of the XXXtreme metal underground, demoniacs such as DM of AMPUTATOR, THOGARMA of DECISION TO HATE and SHAXUL of APRAXAT/ANNTHENNATH/LEGION OF DEATH RECORDS contributed their unholy spells in Diabolical Psycholust!
